I'd say I'll go with both.
I still love writing or scribbling nonsense on a piece of paper.
When you write, you will write with emotions. And you can see it in your handwriting. And for someone like me, whose handwriting changes every now and then, I can recall the surrounding, the feelings and what happen the moment I'm writing the particular piece. There is emotion attached to it. You can evaluate what type of person through their hand writing, so they say.
